Poppy Morris

Hello! I’m Poppy, an illustrator and artist based on the Isle of Wight. I have a particular passion for capturing the natural world that has enwrapped me growing up on this little island. As I’ve gotten older this comforting feeling of home and nostalgia in nature is something I’ve begun to explore and lean into much more. I love capturing detail, texture and organic forms in my work.

 

I’m also intrigued by history, but in particular the forgotten, the 'peoples’ history and the personal indivudual stories that help shape our heritage and personal lives. I find these parts of historical naratives particularly interesting, often leaving me very curious and asking multiple questions I know will remain unanswered. Derelict and abandoned buildings, forgotten people and the idea that natural beings such as trees have seen so much over their hundred year lifetimes are all unique aspects of history that facinate me.

 

I graduated from Falmouth University with a BA in Illustration in 2025, returning to the Isle of Wight to develop and expand my illustrative practice. I’ve recently launched a seasonal mail club with the intention of encouraging real life connection, creativity and time spent away from screens, whereby I share my artwork and write letters that inspire us to move and grow with the seasons.
