Poppy Morris
Is an Illustrator based on the Isle of Wight
Hello! I'm Poppy, an illustrator with a passion for both history and the natural world, themes that frequently appear in my work. I'm fascinated by the natural world and our connection to it. I'm constantly intrigued by history and the curiosity it opens up within me. I love the idea of my work creating voice for stories both past and present, bringing them to life through my illustrations.

I work with traditional methods, constantly thinking about how I can push and develop my working process.

Experience
Placement at Ventnor Heritage Centre
June - November 2025
January - March 2026
I completed a six-month placement at Ventnor Heritage Centre - made possible by Brave Island. Here, I have been able to learn all about working in Heritage, as well as complete a variety of tasks including, working with their archive collection to ensure all records are correct and up to date, creating illustrations for written articles, and working to set up an online social media presence on Instagram to widen their audience - especially to the younger generation.
